Des moved in to my place, along with our baby Maya. Being parents to an 8 week old puppy is a lot more work than we both expected, and rather frustrating at times, but I think we are both starting to get the hang of it. For being 12 weeks, our puppy is super smart! She already sits when people come to the door, to come inside from going to the bathroom, and when she wants anything at a hand signal. She also knows "stay" "in your bed" "no" (that is said a lot) "paw" "down" off of things (didn't think that one through.. laying down is going to have to be "lay") and her name. She has the best temperament and is also super cute to boot! The only things we REALLY need to work on are getting her completely housetrained, and her separation anxiety. Poor pup misses us when we leave! Our shoebox of an apartment is finally feeling like a home with them both around. I feel like I have my little family again!
We've done a lot when it comes to wedding planning in the past month, and it looks like only the final small details are left to figure out. Basically the hardest part: the logistics! I am so happy with plans so far, and we finished the invitations this saturday. I LOVE them. Pretty and rustic, just like our wedding.. and our life really. I'm pretty, he's rustic (seeing as how is IS from Moose Jaw. . ) ha. So if you get one of these babies in the mail, feel pretty lucky! Or, at least, keep them out of the trash longer than say a day please!
I also get to have my first fitting with my dress on the 17th. I can't wait! One more thing to check off the list!
Another thing we've really been into this last month is the biggest loser. I have no idea why watching hugely obese people workout and argue is entertaining, but it sure it. Oh the drama among people trying to shed 2 of me of themselves get up to. It's really ridiculous. Ridiculously awesome.
Sitting here drinking my green tea, hanging out with my dog while des is playing hockey with his friends really makes me feel content in life. I do wish I had more friends in the city, but now that I'm working I feel like I'll have no trouble making them! I'm glad some of des's old friends moved to Saskatoon though, I really think he was starting to go stir crazy. I can relate... sometimes I get frustrated with myself, can't imagine what he was starting to think of me!! haha.
This afternoon we are meeting with Manulife Financial to talk about some investments and savings we can get started on. I'm not sure pensions will be around when we want to retire, so better get saving at this ripe old age! haha. We will also be watching the superbowl somewhere, whether its at home or at a friends.. I will be bored by the constant stopping and starting of fat men running "plays" they call football none-the-less.
Life itself is not something we need to understand
It is simply an experience to be enjoyed, with no other purpose then that
