Not really sure, still having to get used to this putting-your-words-out-there-for-the-world-to-judge thing. Not that the world would ever read this. I'm sure the only person that is is my mother, and she has to love me no matter what I say.
The world has brenna janet to thank for my introduction to the world of blogging. However, these posts will probably be filled with complaints about school and living hours away from the people I love most, so maybe thanks is not in order. Go to murmlemurmlemurmle.blogspot.com to read her thoughts; her much more experienced with blogging, thoughts.
So, I guess you're supposed to write about your life in blogs? Well, right now its reading week in freezing, flat Saskatchewan. I think this may be the first reading week in my 5 years of post-secondary education I have actually done what this week was invented for: reading. With both roomates, most of my friends, and boyfriend away on vacation (I hold contempt for those who are on hot ones) I really had nothing else to do. Trust me, doing homework all day on reading week does not give you that big of a feeling of accomplishment as you would think. Quite the opposite. I'm more than caught up in school, yet feel like I have accomplished nothing. Bored and lonely don't really look good on people.
My mom says cleaning makes you look ugly. So, instead of cleaning my apartment from top to bottom (I cleaned only a little) like I probably should have done, I played with my new nikon camera. I've wanted one for forever, and my amazing family and boyfriend just bought me one for my birthday. I'm still getting the hang of it, and JUST discovered how to focus things. I kept getting frustrated because things were all blurry, and an SLR does not take blurry pictures. Alas, there is a zoom twisty part and and focus twisty part. I'm pretty sure "twisty part" comes straight from the terminology in the manual too. Long story short, pictures now = not blurry ... still a lot more to figure out.
Well, thanks for hanging in for my first blog post. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I may have rambled on a little too long, but this is fun. I could get used to this, sorry world.

love <3 thanks for the shout out!
ReplyDeleteps. we are so life long friends, i too chose this backround originally :)
As a mother there are of couple of really important life lessons you have to pass on to your children. With my son it was, "stop playing with that or it will drop off!" With my daughter it was, exercise and housework will for sure, make you look ugly !!!! I feel very proud that my wealth of knowledge has been passed on to my children. My daughter has taken my advice and ran with it into a career in medicine, my son on the other had spends a lot of time in his room, not sure if it has dropped off yet?
